Findings

  • Acute minimally displaced oblique fracture of the third proximal phalanx with possible distal extension into the PIP joint
  • Remote healed fifth metatarsal shaft fracture
  • Circumscribed round lucent lesion in the fourth proximal phalangeal base
  • Accessory navicular
  • Small posterior calcaneal enthesophyte

Diagnosis

Third proximal phalanx fracture

Sample Report

Acute minimally displaced oblique fracture of the third proximal phalanx with possible distal extension into the PIP joint.

No joint malalignment.

Joint spaces are maintained.

Remote healed fifth metatarsal shaft fracture.

A circumscribed round lucent lesion in the fourth proximal phalangeal base likely represents an intraosseous ganglion or subchondral cyst.

Accessory navicular, normal variant.

Small posterior calcaneal enthesophyte.
