Indication: Foot swelling

Findings

  • Thin ossific fragment along the medial aspect of the base of the second metatarsal
  • Slight lateral subluxation of the second metatarsal base relative to the middle cuneiform
  • Thin mineralized densities along the dorsal margin of the talar neck with overlying soft tissue swelling
  • Mild degenerative changes of the first MTP joint

Diagnosis

Lisfranc injury

Dorsal talar avulsion fracture

Sample Report

Findings concerning for Lisfranc injury with a small avulsion fracture along the medial aspect of the second metatarsal base and slight lateral subluxation of the second metatarsal base relative to the middle cuneiform. Consider CT for further evaluation.

Tiny avulsion fractures along the dorsal margin of the talar neck, favored acute given overlying soft tissue swelling.

Mild degenerative changes of the first MTP joint.
