Findings

  • Approximately 1.5 cm lateral subluxation and varus angulation at the tibiotalar jiont
  • No acute fracture identified
  • Multiple locules of gas project in the soft tissues about the ankle

Diagnosis

Tibiotalar joint dislocation

Sample Report

Acute open ankle dislocation with approximately 1.5 cm lateral subluxation and varus angulation at the tibiotalar joint.

Although no fractures are radiographically apparent, a nondisplaced fracture of the talus is suspected and could be further evaluated with CT.
