Indication:
Generalized abdominal pain
Findings
- Dilated loop of sigmoid colon that is folded on itself (coffee bean configuration)
- Otherwise nondilated loops of small and large bowel throughout the abdomen
- Contrast material in the urinary bladder
Diagnosis
Sigmoid volvulus

Findings raise concern for sigmoid volvulus. Recommend surgical consultation and consideration of the CT for further evaluation.
