Demographics: 73 years old, Female
Indication: Right-sided abdominal pain

Findings

  • Nonobstructive bowel gas pattern
  • Obscuring of the right psoas shadow
  • Hazy bibasilar pulmonary opacities
  • Right-sided calcified pleural plaque
  • Central venous catheter tip overlying the superior cavoatrial junction

Diagnosis

Retroperitoneal hematoma

Sample Report

Nonobstructive bowel gas pattern.

Obscuring of the right psoas shadow, which raises concern for an adjacent mass or hematoma. Recommend CT for further evaluation.

Hazy bibasilar pulmonary opacities, which could be further evaluated with dedicated chest radiographs.
