Diagnosis
Pneumoperitoneum
Sample Report
Pneumoperitoneum, which could be postsurgical in nature given lower abdominal surgical staples. Diffuse gaseous distension of the small and large bowel, which could relate to ileus. Recommend attention on serial abdominal exams and consideration of CT if exam worsens.
Streaky bibasilar pulmonary opacities, favored to represent atelectasis, and small left pleural effusion. Consider dedicated chest radiograph for further evaluation.
