Findings
- Increased prominence of the pulmonary vasculature and interstitium with superimposed right upper lobe airspace opacities
- Small bilateral pleural effusions
- No pneumothorax
- Normal size and configuration of the cardiopericardial silhouette
Diagnosis
Acute mitral regurgitation
Sample Report
Interstitial pulmonary edema with superimposed right upper lobe airspace opacities which could reflect pneumonia or asymmetric edema. Given the right upper lobe predominance, acute mitral regurgitation is a consideration.
