Demographics: 66 years old, Male
Indication: Chest pain

Findings

  • Moderate enlargement of the cardiopericardial silhouette
  • Patchy left retrocardiac opacities
  • Small left pleural effusion
  • Left subclavian approach ICD with leads overlying the right atrium and right ventricle
  • Post CABG changes
  • Fracture of the third most inferior median sternotomy wire

Diagnosis

Large pericardial effusion

Sample Report

Moderate enlargement of the cardiopericardial silhouette, which could represent cardiomegaly and/or the presence of a pericardial effusion. Consider echocardiography for further evaluation.

Nonspecific patchy left retrocardiac opacities, which could represent atelectasis, aspiration, or pneumonia. Dedicated PA and lateral radiographs could provide further assessment.

Small left pleural effusion.
