  • Likely dilated ascending aorta, which is border-forming along the upper right heart border on the frontal projection and encroaches into the retrosternal clear space on the lateral projection
  • Large lung volumes without focal airspace opacification
  • No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
  • Normal size of the cardiopericardial silhouette

Diagnosis

Ascending aortic aneurysm

Findings concerning for dilation of the ascending aorta, which could relate to aneurysm or dissection. Consider chest CTA for further evaluation.

Large lung volumes, likely related to COPD, without evidence of pneumonia.
