Findings

  • Bilateral pleural plaques and interstitial coarsening, most prominent at the lung bases
  • No definite superimposed focal airspace disease
  • No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
  • Mild enlargement of the cardiopericardial silhouette

Diagnosis

Asbestosis

Sample Report

Bilateral pleural plaques and interstitial coarsening, most prominent at the lung bases. Findings are most suggestive of asbestosis. Consider chest CT for further evaluation.

No definite superimposed focal airspace disease.

Mild cardiomegaly.
