Findings

  • Mass projecting over the lateral left lung apex with an indistinct lateral margin
  • No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
  • Normal size and configuration of the cardiopericardial silhouette
  • Left subclavian approach Port-A-Cath with tip projecting over the superior cavoatrial junction

Diagnosis

Metastatic left pleural mass

Sample Report

Large mass projecting over the lateral left lung apex, which given indistinctness of its lateral margin may be pleural based. Recommend chest CT for further evaluation.

Otherwise, no evidence of acute cardiopulmonary disease.
