Findings
- Left lower lobe opacification with associated volume loss and bronchiectasis
- Normal size and configuration of the cardiopericardial silhouette
- No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
- Bilateral shoulder arthroplasties
Diagnosis
Left lower lobe collapse
Sample Report
Opacification and volume loss in the left lower lobe consistent with lobar collapse. Intermixed bronchiectasis may relate to chronic infection or mucous plugging. Consider obtaining a chest CT to exclude a central obstructing mass.
