- Widespread bilateral groundglass opacification and more dependent consolidation
- Intermixed areas of pronounced peribronchial and interlobular septal thickening as well as irregular thick-walled cysts predominantly in the upper lobes
Upper abdomen
- No acute findings
MSK
- Generalized muscle wasting
Diagnosis
Pneumocystis pneumonia
Sample Report
Findings are concerning for a diffuse atypical pneumonia, with pneumocystis infection being a primary consideration given imaging appearance and reported history of AIDS.
