Chest radiograph

  • No focal airspace opacification or edema
  • Emphysema
  • Thoracic aortic atherosclerosis
  • Left cervical rib

CT

Chest

  • Myocardial thinning at the left ventricular apex with a small true aneurysm measuring 1 x 1 cm
  • Thoracic aortic atherosclerosis without aneurysm
  • Heavy coronary artery calcification
  • Advanced destructive emphysema
  • Diffuse bronchial wall thickening
  • Diffuse interlobular septal thickening
  • Mild biapical scarring and dependent bilateral lower lobe atelectasis/scarring
  • Subcentimeter hypodense left thyroid nodule

Upper abdomen

  • No acute findings

MSK

  • Pseudoarthrosis of the left first rib with a cervical rib
  • Osteopenia

Diagnosis

Left ventricular aneurysm

Sample Report

Advanced destructive emphysema with diffuse bronchial wall thickening suggesting an element of bronchitis. No evidence of pneumonia.

Interstitial pulmonary edema without pleural effusions.

Myocardial thinning at the left ventricular apex with a small true aneurysm, likely sequela of prior apical infarction.
