Demographics: 21 years old, Male
Indication: Cough, chest pain

Findings

Chest radiograph

  • No acute findings

CT

Chest

  • Diffuse bronchial wall thickening with tree-in-bud nodularity in the right middle and left lower lobes
  • Mosaic attenuation of the lungs, most evident in the lower lobes
  • Mild dependent atelectasis in both lower lobes

Upper abdomen

  • Splenomegaly

MSK

  • No acute findings

Diagnosis

Bronchitis

Bronchopneumonia

Sample Report

Findings suggestive of bronchitis/bronchiolitis with associated air trapping in the lower lobes.

Tree-in-bud nodularity in the right middle lobe and left lower lobe likely represent mild/early bronchopneumonia.

Splenomegaly.
