  • Widespread bilateral alveolar opacities, most confluent in the right lung base

  • Extensive bilateral airspace consolidation with air bronchograms, subpleural sparing, and relative sparing of the left lower lobe
  • Small pericardial effusion

Upper abdomen

  • No acute findings

  • No acute findings

Diagnosis

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage

Sample Report

Findings are most concerning for diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, particularly given reported hemoptysis, though there may be superimposed pneumonia.
