Demographics: 44 years old, Male
Indication: Epigastric pain

Findings

Lower chest

  • No acute findings

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • Extensive peripancreatic fat stranding without fluid collection
  • Uniform pancreatic enhancement without focal lesion or duct dilation
  • Hepatomegaly with diffusely decreased hepatic parenchymal attenuation
  • 2.5 cm right adrenal nodule
  • Colonic diverticulosis without adjacent inflammatory changes
  • Mild atherosclerotic calcification of the abdominal aorta and branch vessels without aneurysm

MSK

  • No acute findings
  • Multilevel degenerative changes of the spine with a calcified disc herniation at L5-S1

Diagnosis

Interstitial edematous pancreatitis

Sample Report

Acute interstitial edematous pancreatitis. No peripancreatic collection or evidence of necrosis.

Indeterminate 2.5 cm right adrenal nodule. Recommend adrenal protocol CT or MRI for further evaluation on an outpatient basis after resolution of the acute illness.

Hepatomegaly with hepatic steatosis.

Colonic diverticulosis without evidence of acute diverticulitis.
