Indication:
Abdominal pain, history of C. difficile colitis

- No acute findings
Abdomen/Pelvis
- Pancolonic distension, mural thickening, and adjacent mesenteric fat stranding with mildly enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes
- Transverse colon demonstrates mucosal irregularity and loss of the normal haustral folds
- Small volume free intraperitoneal fluid
MSK
- No acute findings
Diagnosis
Toxic megacolon
Sample Report
Pancolitis with dilation and mucosal irregularity of the transverse colon raising concern for toxic megacolon. No evidence of perforation or pneumatosis.
