Demographics: 89 years old, Female
Indication: Lower abdominal pain

Findings

Lower chest

  • Mild dependent atelectasis/scarring
  • 4 mm nodule in the left lower lobe
  • Coronary artery and mitral annular calcification

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • Diffuse bladder wall thickening with intramural gas and perivesical fat stranding
  • Cholelithiasis
  • Bilateral renal cysts and additional subcentimeter hypoattenuating lesions in both kidneys, which are too small to characterize
  • Large volume of formed stool in the rectum
  • Hysterectomy
  • Extensive atherosclerotic calcification of the abdominal aorta and branch vessels without aneurysm

MSK

  • No acute findings
  • Multilevel degenerative changes of the spine with lumbar levocurvature
  • Severe right hip degenerative changes

Diagnosis

Emphysematous cystitis

Sample Report

Findings are concerning for emphysematous cystitis.

Large volume of formed stool in the rectum concerning for possible fecal impaction.
