Demographics: 41 years old, Female
Indication: Headache, vomiting, history of renal transplant

Findings

CT

  • Multifocal, asymmetric areas of vasogenic edema in both cerebral hemispheres
  • Ill-defined hyperattenuating mass in the medial right frontal lobe extending into the corpus callosum

MRI

  • Multifocal enhancing intra-axial masses with corresponding mild restricted diffusion involving the medial right frontal lobe and right eccentric anterior body of the corpus callosum, the mesial left temporal lobe and left basal ganglia, and the posterior right temporal lobe
  • Multiple punctate satellite enhancing lesions around the dominant masses as well as enhancement extending into adjacent sulci and along the ventricular ependymal margins
  • Surrounding vasogenic edema and local mass effect on adjacent parenchyma and the ventricular system without convincing evidence for herniation or hydrocephalus
