Findings

CT

  • Mixed solid and cystic mass in the right frontal lobe with internal calcification and surrounding vasogenic edema
  • The solid component is mildly hyperattenuating relative to brain parenchyma
  • Resultant midline shift anteriorly and crowding of the frontal horns of the lateral ventricles

MRI

  • Complex cystic and solid intra-axial mass in the right frontal lobe with the solid component measuring 4.5 x 2.6 x 4.3 cm and the cystic component measuring 4.5 x 3.6 x 3.9 cm
  • The solid component diffusely enhances and demonstrates restricted diffusion
  • The cystic component peripherally enhances
  • Surrounding vasogenic edema
  • Resultant midline shift anteriorly and crowding of the frontal horns of the lateral ventricles
  • No evidence of downward transtentorial herniation or hydrocephalus
