Right breast swelling and pain
Findings
- Extensive skin thickening and subcutaneous edema throughout the imaged right breast without discrete mass or fluid collection
- Echogenic breast tissue
Diagnosis
Mastitis
Sample Report
Findings are most suggestive of mastitis involving the right breast. If symptoms fail to improve as expected with antibiotic treatment, skin punch biopsy may be required to exclude the less likely possibility of inflammatory breast cancer.
