Findings

  • Well demarcated echogenic mass in the lower endometrial canal measuring 2.2 x 1.4 x 1 cm with avid Doppler flow extending from the posterior uterine wall into this mass
  • Normal appearance of the ovaries
  • Trace free fluid in the cul-de-sac

Diagnosis

Retained products of conception

Sample Report

Well demarcated echogenic mass in the lower endometrial canal measuring 2.2 x 1.4 x 1 cm with avid Doppler flow extending from the posterior uterine wall into this mass, which in this patient with recent history of vaginal delivery is concerning for retained products of conception.

Normal appearance of the ovaries.

Trace free fluid in the cul-de-sac.
