Indication: Knee swelling

Findings

Diagnosis

Osteomyelitis

Sample Report

Permeative lucency in the distal femoral metaphysis with poor cortical definition and overlying periosteal reaction. Findings are concerning for osteomyelitis. Associated septic arthritis of the knee cannot be excluded on this study. Consider MRI for further evaluation.

No acute fracture or malalignment.
