Indication: Knee pain

Findings

  • Permeative lytic lesion in the proximal tibia with a wide zone of transition and lateral cortical thinning and destruction. Osteoid matrix formation extending into the adjacent soft tissues laterally
  • No acute fracture or malalignment

Diagnosis

Osteosarcoma

Sample Report

Permeative lytic lesion in the proximal tibia with a wide zone of transition and lateral cortical thinning and destruction. Osteoid matrix formation extending into the adjacent soft tissues laterally. Findings are concerning for a primary bone tumor, favor osteosarcoma. Consider MRI for further evaluation.

No acute fracture or malalignment.

No joint effusion.
