Findings

  • Acute, minimally displaced, comminuted midshaft ulnar fracture
  • Volar dislocation of the radial head
  • Elbow joint effusion
  • Soft tissue irregularity and possible gas adjacent to the ulnar fracture

Diagnosis

Monteggia fracture/dislocation

Sample Report

Acute, minimally displaced, comminuted midshaft ulnar fracture with associated volar dislocation of the radial head (Monteggia fracture/dislocation). Soft tissue irregularity and possible soft tissue gas adjacent to the ulnar fracture raises concern for open fracture.

Elbow joint effusion.
