Findings
- Mild diffuse hazy pulmonary opacities
- No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
- Normal size and configuration of the cardiothymic silhouette
- Unremarkable bowel gas pattern
Diagnosis
Transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN)
Sample Report
Mild diffuse hazy pulmonary opacities, which though nonspecific can be seen with transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN). Recommend attention on follow-up radiographs as pneumonia could have a similar appearance.
No pleural effusion or pneumothorax.
Normal size and configuration of the cardiothymic silhouette.
Unremarkable bowel gas pattern.
