Findings

Diagnosis

Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)

Sample Report

FLAIR and diffusion signal hyperintensity in several bilateral cerebral sulci as well as layering in the occipital horn of the left lateral ventricle, which may represent trace subarachnoid hemorrhage, tumor dissemination, or proteinaceous material/exudate in the setting of meningitis. Recommend correlation with CSF analysis.

No enhancing intracranial mass.

No evidence of acute infarct, mass effect, or hydrocephalus.

Few scattered T2/FLAIR hyperintensities in the subcortical and periventricular white matter, which are nonspecific and may relate to chronic small vessel disease or posttreatment changes.
