Demographics: 25 years old, Male
Indication: Dilated pupils, unresponsive

Findings

  • Decreased attenuation of the cerebrum with global mild loss of gray-white differentiation
  • Mild diffuse cerebral sulcal effacement without herniation or hydrocephalus
  • Fluid levels in the ethmoid and sphenoid sinuses, which likely relate to the patient's intubated status

Diagnosis

Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy

Sample Report

Diffuse cerebral edema and loss of gray-white differentiation concerning for hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. No evidence of herniation or hydrocephalus.
