Findings
- Small volume acute left hemispheric subarachnoid hemorrhage layering within an anterior frontal sulcus, an inferior parietal sulcus, and the sylvian cistern
- Subcortical and periventricular white matter hypoattenuation
- Atherosclerotic calcification of the cavernous internal carotid arteries
- Incidentally noted likely epidermal inclusion cysts in the posterior cervical soft tissues
Diagnosis
Acute traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage
Sample Report
Small volume acute left hemispheric subarachnoid hemorrhage layering within an anterior frontal sulcus, an inferior parietal sulcus, and the sylvian cistern. No mass effect or hydrocephalus.
Subcortical and periventricular white matter hypoattenuation is nonspecific but likely related to chronic small vessel disease. Atherosclerotic calcification of the cavernous internal carotid arteries.
