Findings
- Acute slightly depressed right parietal bone fracture with a nondisplaced fracture component versus accessory parietal suture extending posteriorly into the lambdoid suture
- Small focus of linear hyperattenuation subjacent to the fracture site is favored to reflect streak artifact, though evaluation of this area is mildly limited by motion and surrounding streak artifact
- Small parietal scalp hematoma
Diagnosis
Calvarial fracture
Sample Report
Acute right parietal calvarial fracture with 2 mm depression. A nondisplaced fracture component versus accessory parietal suture extends posteriorly into the lambdoid suture without sutural diastasis.
Small focus of linear hyperattenuation subjacent to the fracture site is favored to reflect streak artifact, though evaluation of this area is mildly limited by motion and surrounding streak artifact. No large acute intracranial hemorrhage.
Small parietal scalp hematoma.
