Demographics: 71 years old, Female
Indication: Trauma

Findings

  • Likely acute to subacute T5 and T9 compression fractures with 50% and 70% height loss, respectively, and slight bony retropulsion at each level
  • Likely remote T12 compression fracture with 70% height loss and slight bony retropulsion inferiorly
  • Slight widening of the left T9-T10 facet joint
  • Multilevel degenerative changes in combination with retropulsed bony fragments contribute to multilevel mild to moderate canal stenosis as well as moderate bilateral neural foraminal stenosis at T8-T9 and advanced bilateral neural foraminal stenosis at T9-T10
  • Osteopenia

Diagnosis

Acute/subacute compression fractures

Subtle facet joint widening

Sample Report

Likely acute to subacute T5 and T9 compression fractures with 50% and 70% height loss, respectively, and 1-2 mm bony retropulsion at each level.

Likely remote T12 compression fracture with 70% height loss and 3 mm bony retropulsion inferiorly.

Slight widening of the left T9-T10 facet joint, which may relate to erosive degenerative changes or ligamentous injury. MRI can further assess if there is clinical concern.
