Indication: Unresponsive

Findings

  • Multiple areas of hypoattenuation throughout the cerebrum and cerebellum in multiple vascular territories with loss of gray-white differentiation associated with lesions in the parietal and occipital lobes as well as in the left inferior temporal lobe
  • Partially imaged endotracheal and enteric tubes

Diagnosis

Cardioembolic infarcts

Sample Report

Multiple areas of hypoattenuation throughout the cerebrum and cerebellum in multiple vascular territories concerning for multifocal ischemia, likely related to a central embolic source. Hypoxic-ischemic injury is an additional consideration.

No significant associated mass effect or evidence of hemorrhagic transformation.
