Demographics: 73 years old, Female
Indication: Fall

Findings

  • Acute impacted transverse distal radial metaphyseal fracture with intraarticular extension and mild dorsal tilt
  • Acute mildly displaced ulnar styloid fracture
  • Acquired ulnar positive variance
  • Soft tissue swelling about the wrist
  • Severe degenerative changes of the first CMC joint with mild radial subluxation
  • Mild degenerative changes of the first MCP and triscaphe joints
  • Osteopenia

Diagnosis

Colles fracture (Frykman IV)

Sample Report

Acute impacted transverse distal radial metaphyseal fracture with intraarticular extension and mild dorsal tilt. Overlying soft tissue swelling.

Acute mildly displaced ulnar styloid fracture.

Acquired ulnar positive variance.

Severe degenerative changes of the first CMC joint with mild radial subluxation, likely degenerative in etiology. Mild degenerative changes of the first MCP and triscaphe joints.

Osteopenia.
