Indication: Fall

Findings

  • No acute fracture
  • Superior and posterior subluxation of the distal clavicle relative to the acromion
  • Adjacent heterotopic ossification
  • Coracoclavicular distance is widened measuring 20 mm

Diagnosis

Grade IV acromioclavicular (AC) separation

Sample Report

No acute fracture.

Superior and posterior subluxation of the distal clavicle relative to the acromion consistent with grade IV acromioclavicular (AC) separation.

Adjacent heterotopic ossification suggests a component of remote injury.

Widening of the coracoclavicular distance raises concern for ligament injury.

Glenohumeral joint alignment and joint space are maintained.
