Findings
- Acute comminuted distal femoral metaphyseal fracture with intraarticular extension along the lateral margin of the intercondylar notch and isolation of the condyles from the diaphysis with 1.4 cm posterior displacement of the dominant condylar fracture fragment
- Moderate lipohemarthrosis
- Soft tissue swelling about the knee
- Moderate tricompartmental degenerative changes
- Heavy vascular calcifications
Diagnosis
Intraarticular distal femoral fracture
Sample Report
Acute comminuted distal femoral metaphyseal fracture with intraarticular extension along the lateral margin of the intercondylar notch and isolation of the condyles from the diaphysis with 1.2 cm posterior displacement of the dominant condylar fracture fragment. Overlying soft tissue swelling.
Alignment is maintained at the knee.
Moderate lipohemarthrosis.
Moderate tricompartmental degenerative changes.
