Demographics: 89 years old, Female
Indication: Fall, initial encounter

Findings

  • Lucent lesion in the articular surface of the medial femoral condyle with surrounding sclerosis
  • No joint effusion
  • Severe patellofemoral and mild medial compartment degenerative changes
  • Soft-tissue swelling along the medial and anterior aspects of the knee
  • Vascular calcifications
  • Surgical clips posterior to the distal femur

Diagnosis

Osteochondral lesion of the medial femoral condyle

CPPD

Sample Report

Osteochondral lesion in the medial femoral condyle. Consider MRI to further assess for stability.

No additional fracture or joint effusion.

Severe patellofemoral compartment degenerative changes out of proportion to medial and lateral compartment degenerative changes, which can be seen with CPPD.
