Demographics: 19 years old, Male
Indication: ? Foreign body ingestion

Findings

  • Faint oval radiopaque density overlying the left hemiabdomen
  • Nonobstructive bowel gas pattern
  • Bubbly lytic lesion in the left ischium and inferior pubic ramus

Diagnosis

Ingested foreign body (aluminum soda can tab)

Sample Report

Faint oval radiopaque density overlying the left hemiabdomen concerning for ingested foreign body given the history. This may be in the proximal small bowel, although location cannot be confidently confirmed on these radiographs.

Nonobstructive bowel gas pattern.

Bubbly lytic lesion in the left ischium and inferior pubic ramus without aggressive features, likely a benign lesion such as an aneurysmal bone cyst. Correlation with prior imaging, if available, would be useful to document stability. Otherwise, consider CT or MRI for further evaluation.
