  • Endotracheal tube tip projects 3 cm above the carina
  • Hazy airspace opacification in the left greater than right upper lobes
  • No pleural effusion or pneumothorax
  • Normal size and configuration of the cardiopericardial silhouette

Diagnosis

Aspiration pneumonia

Hazy airspace opacification in the left greater than right upper lobes is concerning for aspiration or pneumonia. Aspiration is of particular concern given the patient's history.
