  • Large left pneumothorax with partial collapse of the left lung and slight rightward mediastinal shift
  • Mild architectural distortion at both lung apices

Diagnosis

Spontaneous pneumothorax

Sample Report

Left pigtail pleural drain has been placed with a decreased, tiny residual left apical pneumothorax.

Biapical pleural blebs, which likely represent the etiology for the spontaneous pneumothorax.
