Demographics: 56 years old, Male
Indication: Epigastric pain

Findings

Lower chest

  • No acute findings

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • Gallbladder is distended with diffuse wall thickening and a 5 mm stone in the cystic duct
  • Tiny area of hypoattenuation adjacent to the gallbladder in hepatic segment 5
  • No biliary duct dilation
  • 1.5 cm fluid attenuation structure in segment 5 of the liver likely represents a cyst. Multiple additional subcentimeter hypoattenuating lesions are too small to characterize
  • Left renal sinus cyst
  • Mild atherosclerotic calcification of the abdominal aorta and branch vessels without aneurysm
  • Nonspecific prostatic calcifications

MSK

  • No acute findings
  • Degenerative changes of the spine and sacroiliac joints with minimal retrolisthesis of L5 on S1

Diagnosis

Acute cholecystitis

Sample Report

Acute calculous cholecystitis. No biliary duct dilation. Recommend surgical consultation.

A tiny area of hypoattenuation adjacent to the gallbladder in hepatic segment 5 may represent early hepatic abscess formation.
