Indication: Scrotal swelling

Findings

Lower chest

  • Mild dependent left lower lobe atelectasis
  • Scattered pulmonary micronodules
  • Partially imaged cardiac rhythm maintenance device powerpack and electrode on the lower left chest wall

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • No acute findings
  • Mild hepatomegaly
  • Cholelithiasis
  • Bilateral adreniform thickening of the adrenal glands without discrete nodule
  • Colonic diverticulosis
  • Peripherally calcified structure in the left lower quadrant, which may represent a remote torsed epiploic appendage, sequela of epiploic appendagitis, or an area of remote calcified fat necrosis
  • Minimal atherosclerotic calcification of the abdominal aorta and branch vessels without aneurysm

MSK

  • Diffuse soft tissue edema and fat stranding with subcutaneous emphysema involving the right hemiscrotum extending superiorly into the right inguinal region
  • Multiple enlarged bilateral inguinal lymph nodes, measuring up to 16 mm in short axis on the right
  • Mild polyarticular degenerative changes

Diagnosis

Fournier gangrene

Sample Report

Findings concerning for Fournier gangrene involving the right hemiscrotum and extending into the right inguinal region. Recommend surgical evaluation.
