Findings

Lower chest

  • No acute findings
  • Right lower lobe pleural-based micronodule

Abdomen/Pelvis

  • Distended appendix, measuring up to 10 mm in diameter with mural thickening and periappendiceal fat stranding
  • No bowel obstruction
  • No loculated collection or free intraperitoneal air
  • Hepatomegaly with diffusely decreased attenuation of the hepatic parenchyma
  • Cholecystectomy

MSK

  • No acute findings
  • Mild degenerative changes of the spine

Diagnosis

Acute suppurative appendicitis

Sample Report

Acute suppurative appendicitis without evidence of perforation or abscess.

Hepatomegaly with hepatic steatosis.
