Constatations
CT
- Hemorrhagic mass centered in the atrium of the left lateral ventricle with hemorrhage extending into the temporal and occipital horns
- Diffuse communicating hydrocephalus with a possible component of obstructive hydrocephalus involving the left occipital horn
MRI
- Hemorrhagic, T2 hyperintense, peripherally-enhancing mass centered in the atrium of the left lateral ventricle measuring 4 x 3 x 4.5 cm, which is inseparable from the choroid plexus
- Enhancement extends along the ependymal margin of the left occipital horn with T2 signal hyperintensity in the adjacent brain parenchyma, which may relate to ventricular entrapment and/or tumor involvement
- Intraventricular hemorrhage layering in the left greater than right occipital horns and in the cisterna magna
- Interval placement of a right frontal approach ventricular drain which terminates near the foramen of Monro with slight interval decompression of the ventricular system
Diagnostic
Intraventricular glioblastoma
