Age: 1
Sex: Male
Indication: Dehydration, somnolence
High attenuation within the superior and posterior aspects of the superior sagittal sinus and along the straight sinus and bilateral internal cerebral veins concerning for dural and deep venous sinus thrombosis. Additional focus of high density near the left cerebellar tentorium likely represents thrombus in the left transverse sinus. Recommend brain MRI with and without contrast for further evaluation.
Area of hypoattenuation in the right thalamus and genu of the right internal capsule is concerning for edema and possible developing venous infarct. This can also be assessed with MRI.
No acute hemorrhage, mass effect, or hydrocephalus.
